AMARONE OPERA PRIMA 2023

Amarone Opera Prima: among the tasted wines, our Amarone della Valpolicella DOGG 2018 by Costa Arènte stand out too.

Our Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG 2018 by Costa Arènte has been selected among the best wine labels tasted during Amarone Opera Prima.

The doors of Palazzo della Gran Guardia opened on the first weekend of February to kick off the event dedicated to the Preview of the 2018 vintage. During the first day, the protagonist was the blind tasting of the 67 participating samples, which featured 19 labels between new names and already well-known wineries.

Among the wine labels, our Amarone della Valpolicella Valpantena DOCG 2018 by Costa Arènte awarded a place in the list of the best tasted ones.

The expert’s critique:

Medium-loaded color. Nose that has everything one should expect from an Amarone between fruit, spice and a note given by raisining. Well-crafted tannins play on glycemic exuberance and fully ripe expression of the fruit, between red and black flesh. Long, again on precise and elegant memories of the withering. A wine to look forward to, showing definite promise.

This has been the year of big numbers for the event dedicated to the “king of Valpolicella”. Over 50 participating Veronese wineries attracted 300 trade journalists, including 100 international, and more than 1,500 winelovers.
